The SUSA chair is designed for the use of idle lounging and is fabricated using solid walnut wood.
The inspiration for the chair comes from a traditional Bushel with an Ibex motif. The Ibex in Iranian culture is symbol of power, leadership, and kingdom. The Bushel originates from Susa, Iran circa 4000 BC.
The Designer’s goal was to simplify the typical design of chairs.
Normally, chairs have six(6) parts: back rest, seat, and four legs. With the design of the SUSA chair, the designer accomplishments to make it using only three pieces.
SUSA is a chair for today but seeded 4000 years ago.
